Sea angling in Baisha
Baisha is a small but beautiful island in the tourism area of Putuo District. To its west lies Zhujiajian Island well known for the International Sand Sculpture Festival. It takes about 2o minutes to go from Baisha to Zhujiajian. To its northeast lies Luojiashan Island and Putuo Island, one of China’s four Buddhist sanctums.
With pleasant climate and excellent environment, Baisha is a paradise for sea anglers and people on vacation. Here a visitor will be warmly welcomed by the friendly and hospitable fishermen, and will enjoy many beautiful scenes featuring blue sea, cobble stones, and sand beaches.
Lying in theYangan Fishery Ground, which has an abundance of such fishes as sea breams and basses, Baisha has long been an ideal place for sea angling. It is the best sea angling demonstration area in Zhoushan archipelago. Besides some areas for professional sea anglers, there are some other areas for visitors and holiday-makers. A large number of tourists are attracted by many fascinating activities, including taking an antique reproduction boat to fish in a traditional way.
